We are the Scottish chapter of the International Game Developers Association, serving the games industry across Scotland.
About the Scottish Chapter
Founded in 2011 by Hazel McKendrick, the Scottish chapter of the IGDA has proudly worked to serve developers around the country ever since. With regular meetings in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee, and a thriving community providing a uniquely Scottish vibe to our events, we are one of the most active chapters in Europe.
You can sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date with all the news about the chapter and its activities, and please make sure to come out to one of our meetings. If you have some time, it would be great if you could consider volunteering to help us run the chapter.
About the IGDA
The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) is the largest non-profit membership organization in the world serving all individuals who create video games. As an international organization, we are a global network of collaborative projects and communities comprised of individuals from all fields of game development – from programmers and producers to writers, artists, QA and localization. We bring together developers at key industry conferences, in over 90 Chapters and in Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to improve their lives and craft.
We advocate on behalf of our membership to ensure quality of life, perpetuation of our craft and preparing the next generation of developers.
Whether you’re a student with a goal to become a game developer or a seasoned veteran, regardless if you’re based in the U.S. or any country/region in the world – we welcome you home to the IGDA!
