The first Amazon Dev Day in Edinburgh takes place on Wednesday the 22nd of June at Codebase. The following blog post was written by the event organisers.
So why should you be part of Amazon Appstore’s first Dev Day in Scotland?
Okay – let’s get the basics out of the way – the event’s free and there will be food and drinks!
On a much more serious note, Amazon Appstore is making good its promise to help support and build dev communities across the UK with their first Dev Day (outside of London), taking place in Edinburgh on 22 June.
So what’s in store?
Registration starts at 9.30am, followed by talks and presentations from guest speakers including: Channel 4’s Games Commissioner, Colin Macdonald, Skyscanner’s Developer Advocate, David Low and STV Player’s Product Manager, Will Jones plus Amazon Appstore’s Mobile experts. There’ll be lots of opportunities for networking, checking out devices, putting your gaming skills to the test and then, to wrap up the day, there’ll be a couple of beers (on Amazon!) at a local bar.
The Amazon Appstore Dev Days – designed for Devs and Tech Decision Makers (or those simply curious about this world and hungry to find out more) have a strong technical content but also cover business issues. The aim is to help people build not just successful apps but also successful businesses.
